Three tasks can be performed using this function:

1. Issuance of a new certificate with a new number,

2. Recording of an existing BC certificate never converted from predecessor systems, and

3. Recording a certificate issued by an external body, usually to be used to validate RFC signoff by a tradesworker using an out-of-province IP.

Issue New Certificate

Leave the Certification Number blank, and complete the remainder of the form.  A new number will be assigned.

Record Existing Certificate

Put the number of the existing certificate in the first field and continue as above.

Record Externally-issued Certificate

Ensure that the certificate is set up in the certificate catalog prior to beginning; contact Program Standards if it is not.  Complete all fields, including the number of the external Certificate.  The certification type will always be “Non-ITA”.
