Register Apprenticeship – Sponsor Agreement

You can take a new apprenticeship application that has been started by the apprentice, complete the ‘sponsor portion’ of the process and submit it to the ITA.

Tips for use

This individual has applied to register an apprenticeship with your organization.  Please ensure that this is your apprentice and that they have selected the right program.  While the registration is in process, you can view the apprentice’s file to look at previous certifications and any progress they have already made toward completion of this program.  You can change the program using the Change Program button if necessary; a notification will be sent to the apprentice if you do.

When you accept the apprenticeship agreement, you do three things:

  1. Agree to your responsibilities as a sponsor.  This include proper supervision, technical training, administration and a recommendation for certification when they are ready.
  2. Declare your compliance with key requirements for accurate information and proper supervision.
  3. Acknowledge the consequences of providing false or inaccurate information, or of failing to provide the information required.

If you agree, tick the box at the bottom of the screen and click Accept Registration.

If you choose not to sponsor this apprentice, click Reject Registration.  You will have an opportunity to identify the reason for rejection, and a notification will be sent to the apprentice.
